On this episode of the Holy Nerdy Podcast, after a few “downer” episodes from the past few weeks, we needed a palate cleanser, so Caleb came up with a pretty challenging game for me to play. After that we review the current in progress manga story arc of “Dragon Ball Super”, and I must say, it feels pretty damn good to review something good for a change. Lastly we delve into all the new stuff heading our way that was announced at the D23 Expo this past weekend as well as talk about the Sony/Disney Spider-Man split and no matter how much it pains to say but this may be just what Spidey needs to make the character truly great again.

On this episode of the Holy Nerdy Podcast, after a minor tech hiccup that cost us 30 minutes of audio, we finally begin with a couple of Star Wars news stories from the past week. This leads to us coming up with a hilarious scenario involving Obi-Wan Kenobi hocking green milk to kids via TV commercial. After the break we give our review for the newest DC animated movie “Batman: Hush”. Fans of our show should know that the original Hush miniseries is one of our most beloved Batman stories ever, and we’ve been waiting for this one for a while. We’re just hoping that the story didn’t change much when they adapted it to film.

On this episode of the Holy Nerdy Podcast, after some short random real/fake butter talk we get to the moment we have been waiting for for almost 2 years now... Or so we thought. You see on Friday came the long awaited release of the “Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling” Netflix TV special. Rocko was one of our most beloved childhood cartoons and no one wanted more than us for it to be an amazing nostalgic trip back in time. Unfortunately that was not the case and we discuss this one in depth.Things though get heated and it ultimately devolves into a big shared rant on the many franchises that want us to forget the past, and move on.

On this episode of the Holy Nerdy Podcast, we start the show off with some hilarious off the cuff discussion of the 80’s hit show ThunderCats, and give our insight for the true reason for Mumm-Ras aggression towards the heroes. After catching our breath from all the laughter we jump right into our main topic, Alita: Battle Angel. The live action adaptation was released on DVD and we received a request to do a “Vudu Review”. Not only that, but we did our homework and read the original manga version and watched the 2-part anime adaptation, and we will be reviewing all three to see which version did the cyberpunk tale better.
